Cooking my favourite dish this time.. Before I become more busier anytime soon.. I better post this up..
Sweet and sour fish.. I don’t have any greens in this recipe. That is why I called it ‘Goldy’ ;-p.. trying to clear off my fridge, so using what ever I found
The ingredients I used :
To Mixed with the fish before frying : 1 tbls Corn starch, 1 tbls flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 tbls water and 2 pinches of salt.
The sauce : 2 tbls tomato sauce (I am using tomato paste, my tomato sauce finished ;-p), 1 tbls plum sauce, 1 tbls oyster sauce, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon vinegar. Mixed all together in a bowl.
Other ingredients : Fish (I am using Tengiri Fish 2 block, bell pepper half red and half green.. but I only have red and yellow.. so I am using it instead), half can of pineapples cube (Save the juice to add in later), 1 shallots (sliced), 2 gloves garlic (minced), oil to fry, salt and white pepper for seasoning.
Preparing the fish.. Cooking for a small family like mine.. I just bought 2 blocks of Tengiri fish and sliced as shown on 1st pic. Once done.. add in the ingredients to cover the fish before frying. Mixed well and leave for 5 to 10 minutes.
Note: You can add Cucumber (Cubes.. take out seeds) into the recipe too.
Next step.. heat your pan/wok.. take about 2 tbls of the frying oil just now to the pan. Add in the shallots and garlic. Once a little bit brownish.. add in all veggies (Bell pepper and cucumber if have).. stir for a while..
Next.. add in the pineapple.. and the fried fish. Stir for few second.
Now it’s time to add in the sauce. Pour all into the fish and stir. Take the pineapple juice and slowly added into the dish.. just to make sure it won’t become to thick. I will add about 1/2 cup (Baking cup) and a little bit water to settle.
Note: If you want it to be thick.. don’t put too much water..
Lastly.. add salt and white pepper for seasoning (a pinch of salt and 2 dash of white pepper). Done!
Note: You can use pork using this recipe too.. Gud luck..
